Festival de la Canción

Festival de la Cancion, Monterrey NLThe Festival de la Canción was a lot of fun. All styles of music, really cool performances, and even a little bit of drama… hahaha! Seriously, it was great.

It was an interesting experience, having to discuss all the songs and performances with the rest of the judges and not always agreeing. Sometimes you have to fight for songs, and other times, you have to try your best to understand the opinions of those around you.

I hope I get another chance to do this again soon!

This Saturday, September 22nd, I will be part of the jury at the Festival de la Canción, a songwriting and performance competition that takes place in Monterrey, México.

I can’t tell you how cool this is! The Festival de la Canción was the first competition I ever won and it feels great to come back seven (wow!) years later and get to experience the other side of the process.
