Music for New Web Series!

13 Aug

Hello!

I couldn’t wait ’til this video was posted online! It’s a new original motion comic web series called “Façade”, created by Joe Peicott and Nino Lopez. And so far, this has been one of my favorite things to work on. I’m really proud of the score and it’s not always easy to say that… there’s always something to fix, change… Not this time. I’m just happy with it, and I really hope you guys enjoy it, too! :D

Drawing inspiration from EC Comics and the original Twilight Zone series, Façade is a dynamic collection of gripping and thought-provoking short stories.

As an anthology series, Façade explores a mix of genres, such as fantasy, science fiction, suspense, and horror.

The stories from Façade are told through a motion comic format that blends traditional comic book layouts with animation. Panels are brought to life with voice performance, sound design, and cinematic storytelling.

Watch the 1st Episode now! Yeaah!

After the premiere of the film (and song :D ) I’ll tell you more about it in a blog entry, post clips, etc.

A million thanks to Panic Nation’s director, George Adams, and Music Supervisor Michael Shapiro for inviting me to be a part of this.

New Music for iPhone Game: Heights

26 Jul

I wrote music for an iPhone game called “Heights” by Alebrije Estudios. The process was amazing. I also put the sound effects together, all the clinks, clangs, wooshes, etc. hehe! I’ve never written for this kind of game/platform before and I loooove it! Hopefully, there will be more iPhone games for me in the future.

Heights is a vertical platformer that’s relaxing and challenging at the same time. It has a some puzzle elements to it. The art is beautiful and the music is soothing (well, I tried! hehe!)

Heights is available on the iTunes Store for $0.99, or $10 pesos. Please support indie game developers and enjoy Heights!

Here’s a video featuring the gameplay. Check it out!

Ho Ho Ho Official Trailer

25 Jul

I stumbled upon a few YouTube clips of the Romanian film called Ho Ho Ho that I recorded some music for last year! I don’t understand anything they are saying, but it’s fun hearing the music in the movie. And check it out, the lead actor looks like a blend of George Clooney and Hugh Laurie!

The official movie trailer:

In this clip, you can hear me singing Jingle Bells on the raido at around 1:05 min. hehehe!

Singing on a Commercial!

30 May

Singing on a Commercial!

I got to sing on a TV commercial for Sirloin Stockade today! The session was different than anything I’ve done before because the producer kept telling me to “smile” while I was singing. It made perfect sense and totally improved the tone and energy of my voice… but, it was harder than I thought because I’m used to singing mellower songs about feelings, and thinking, and stuff… Not PARTYYYYY AT SIRLOOOOOOOOIN kinda songs. hahaha! I loved the experience! Thanks to Open Audio for inviting me over.

Update: The commercial is now airing on mexican television. Watch below! :D

New Trailer Cues for Sonoton Music

30 Oct

Hey guys!

Composer/Percussionist Joey Peters and I just finished writing and recording 3 trailer cues for a music library called Sonoton Music. They have provided music for tons of shows and movies like Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Spiderman 2, The Sopranos, Friends, etc.

Joey produced an entire CD called Trailer Backends, and he kindly invited me to collaborate on some cues. We wrote 3 tracks together called The Red Sea, Iron Age, and Journey to Beyond.

As always, my favorite part was getting to sing on these tracks! Overall, it was so much fun. Sonoton describes one of the tracks (The Red Sea) as “Somber, acoustic guitar-driven beginning gives way to beautiful, romanic female solo voice.” Niiiiiiice! :D

These cues are now part of Sonoton Music’s catalog and are available for licensing. I’ll try to post samples whenever possible.

Writing the music for Microbiotics was fun. And as we work towards the new beta 2.0 release, I’ll be writing some more cues for it. Can’t wait!
