Music for New Web Series!

13 Aug

Hello!

I couldn’t wait ’til this video was posted online! It’s a new original motion comic web series called “Façade”, created by Joe Peicott and Nino Lopez. And so far, this has been one of my favorite things to work on. I’m really proud of the score and it’s not always easy to say that… there’s always something to fix, change… Not this time. I’m just happy with it, and I really hope you guys enjoy it, too! :D

Drawing inspiration from EC Comics and the original Twilight Zone series, Façade is a dynamic collection of gripping and thought-provoking short stories.

As an anthology series, Façade explores a mix of genres, such as fantasy, science fiction, suspense, and horror.

The stories from Façade are told through a motion comic format that blends traditional comic book layouts with animation. Panels are brought to life with voice performance, sound design, and cinematic storytelling.

Watch the 1st Episode now! Yeaah!

Ho Ho Ho Official Trailer

25 Jul

I stumbled upon a few YouTube clips of the Romanian film called Ho Ho Ho that I recorded some music for last year! I don’t understand anything they are saying, but it’s fun hearing the music in the movie. And check it out, the lead actor looks like a blend of George Clooney and Hugh Laurie!

The official movie trailer:

In this clip, you can hear me singing Jingle Bells on the raido at around 1:05 min. hehehe!

Happy Holidays – FREE SONG

16 Dec

Hey Guys!

Well, I say this every year, but I CAN’T BELIEVE THE YEAR IS ALMOST OVEEEER!

I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating the holidays with your families and friends. I’m heading back to Monterrey tomorrow, and I’m really looking forward to all the parties and food and cake and presents.

Here’s a link to a free download. It’s a Spanish version of Silent Night that I recorded earlier this year for the soundtrack of the upcoming feature film Detached.

Take care, party safely, and ENJOY.

Love,
Judy

Detached – Los Angeles Film School

27 Sep

Yesterday, I attended a private screening of the film Detached by out of exile films at the Los Angeles Film School. The coolest thing about working on a film is eventually getting to watch it on a huge screen with huge movie theater sound.

I love iiiiit!

Here’s a picture of Sasha (the lead character in the film), Cabo (hip hop artist who wrote 4 songs on the film’s soundtrack), and me hanging right outside the theater, by the movie poster.

The Wait

13 Sep

A short film by David De la GarzaHey, guys!

I’m in a happy mood because I just drank some delicious coffee and ate a bagel. That’s my favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings.

This week, I started working on the original score for a short film by writer/director David De la Garza. It’s called “The Wait”.

What makes this short film such a challenge is that it was originally a silent film… no noise… nothing. No footsteps, breeze, no trains or cars… nothing. So, how do you write music that doesn’t immediately jump out at you and distract you from the images?

I have no idea. hahahaha!

Just kidding. David and I have been talking about many different things we would like to try. I’ll keep you posted on the progress we make.

Hope you’re all doing well!

Big hug,
Judith

Detached Screening

31 Mar

Tianna Langham, Chris Bessounian, Judith de los SantosHelloooooo!

I hope everyone’s doing great. It was COLD in Los Angeles today! I still get confused when the weather is not nice and warm…

Yesterday, I attended a screening of the feature film Detached by out of exile films. It was a party for the cast and crew and a great chance to get to know everyone involved a little better.

The screening took place at the house where the film was shot, and that was a pretty interesting experience… to be watching the living room in the film while sitting IN it. hahaha!

Big Hug,
Judy

Detached – Christmas in February

14 Feb

Movie PosterHi guys!

Happy Valentine’s Day. I hope everyone gets to eat tons of chocolate.

I’ve recently been working with out of exile films as Music Supervisor on their upcoming feature film Detached. The film was directed by Chris Bessounian and Tianna Langham.

Aaaaaand… I also got to record some songs for it! :) There are several short Christmas tracks (traditional songs, I didn’t write those of course!) and a new song in Spanish called “Tu Amor es un Engaño”.

Can’t wait for the film to be released!

More soon,
Judy

Radio Show

10 Oct

Today, David De la Garza, Oliver Cantu and I went to Abraham Mendoza’s radio show. We were invited by Roberto Valdes, a Mexican filmmaker and critic who runs the website www.todoelcine.com.mx . He invited us to talk about the process of making the short film “Sobrecamas”.

I’m always amazed by how some people were simply born to be on radio. Abraham and Roberto were talking so naturally, and there I was, trying to avoid saying “uhmmm” and other silly things… :)
